Welcome

Very important is the fit between those seeking help, and the professionals working with them.I would be acting deceptively if I assured you that I would be the best counselor you could have. There are always more able counselors. And experience has taught me that I cannot help everyone.

One thing that I try to do during the first session is to enable those who attend that session (individuals, couples, or family members) to decide whether they would like to have a second session with me, and to enable me to decide whether I believe I can be of help. If I think I can, and if those who attend the first session wish to continue, all of us attempt to negotiate a fee that is mutually acceptable.  If we do, the agreed-upon fee applies to the first session as well as to the second session. If we decide not to continue, I leave up to those who attended the first session to decide what they wish to give me for that session, and we say goodbye to each other. If referrals to other practitioners are requested, I provide them.
